This bowl by Binh Poh, is
featured in the latest AAW Journal, but the black and white pictures
don't come close to doing it justice. |
 |
This is another fine work by Binh Poh.
Entitled Year of the Dragon and is made from Pink Ivory and .... |
 |
A gorgeous carved and painted platter
of Chestnut by David Nittman, about 18" in diameter called
appropriately enough, "Thunder and Lightning"
Another of his works sold at the auction for $2000
|
 |
David Sengal and his whimsical and God
awful inventive "Dial 'Em Up, Vessel Extruder" Made from
steel, Rhodendrum and Maple.
David, you are truly unique |
 |
David Sengal - "Pill Box"
Ebonized Pear, Rose and Locust Thorns |
 |
This piece was a great idea. It appears
to be a hollow vessel that "blew up" and was stitched back
together and painted. About 10" in diameter, by Herb Quarles,
entitled "Broken, painted Hollow Vessel" |
 |
I have seen photos of this piece by
Linda Firfield before. It is a Box Elder vessel covered in Czech seed
beads. All the photos I have seen before, didn't come close to the fire
and brilliance of the piece in person. |
 |
A small, ornamental piece of blackwood
and Aromatic Cedar |
 |
This is a large size piece, about
3'x2', out of Madrone Burl, by Mark Bressler, called "Soul
Dancer" |
 |
Mike
Lee's turned and carved vessel, "Ammonite Pod" - Cocobolo |
 |
This is part of a beautiful set of
vessels by Robert Chatelain. Violet and Pearl Epoxy inlay. Picture can't
do real justice to how striking this is. |
 |
I loved the idea of this, from Steve
Bishop, out of Maple Burl, called "Fragments of a Forgotten
Civilization" |
 |
J Paul Finnell "Carob #436"
Gorgeous Carob hollowed and carved form. |
 |
Jim Rindle "Charlotte
Sunrise" - material - Epoxy.
A visually striking piece who's color just pops out at you. But, isn't
it the American Association of Wood Turners? Just kidding. |
