Using a scraper
cleanup the first two rings. Note: do NOT touch the outer row of
segments with the scraper.

Clean up the outer first
to rows of segments only.

Run a lamp
rod through top ring and MDF. Lock with 2 nuts, one on each side. This
will support the project while turning and gluing on additional
segments.

Clean up the outside,
a steady rest is used to clean up the inside to the outer row of
segments only
.

Using
the steady rest, power sand the inside.

|
Continue building the
project. Note: tailstock adapter and MDF being used to clamp a row of
segments.

There are now 14 rows
glued together at this point of the project.

|
Lamp glue up is now
almost completed.

|
Lamp will now be turned
and sanded on the inside to the last row of segments.

the bottom of the Lamp project. Tailstock is used to clamp the base

out the base, stead rest being used

Turn the top down to
shape, sand and finish.

Part the remaining top
down to the lamp rod. Care must be used for the final cut at the lamp
rod.
