About TurningWood.com

My name is Steve Worcester, and my studio is in Plano,TX.

While I do all sorts of woodturning, I have been woodturning since 1994 and have gone through many phases. I did square turning and wrote several articles on my techniques. After taking a class from David Ellsworth and advisories from Trent Bosch, hollow turning has been a major direction and force of my work.

The view from the floor

(The vendor show floor of course)
San Jose turned out to be a bit interesting in many regards. Vendor move in marred by union fees and extra expenses, attendance at abut 1400, auction was pretty slow, lots of bargains. On the vendor floor, some interesting items. New motor controller from Bill Rubenstein, new Powermatic 4224B, a real jump forward for the mustard monster makers.
The banquet cocktail hour was in some gymnasium, and why is a mecca for craft brews serving crappy AB products and no good beer?

If you have photos you would like to contribute, let me know, we can add them

Special thanks to all our roving reporters this year
