Mirka Gold (P GRIT grading system)

these are the best of the best in premium abrasives.

(80 to 400 Grit) State-of-the-art coated abrasives technology. Super flexible bond means the grit stays on the backing – even after catches. Unsurpassed edge wear. Excellent load resistance. Cuts fast, with an even, consistent finish. Flexibility like no other; yet tough, with super edge wear. Full resin bonding for strength and durability and a special non-loading stearate coating

(600-1200 grit) Micron-graded abrasives listed with traditional (600-1500 Grit) equivalents, the industry’s finest micro-finishing abrasive – designed to be used dry. Unmatched load resistance provides even, consistent scratch pattern. Combines full resin bonding for strength and durability and a special non-loading stearate.
They are durable, yet supple enough not to gouge.

Abralon – (P GRIT grading system) foam backed disks!

Great for high luster on exotics, man made materials and anywhere a super fine finish is required. (Sand your lacquer before buffing!)

Combines benefits of abrasive cloth and non-woven products. Constructed with a fabric face, foam center, and a grip backing. Abrasive grains are bonded evenly to the fabric face. Openings in the fabric allow water, solvent and air to flow freely around the abrasive. Works especially well when sanding contoured surfaces, corners and sharp edges. Open cell design holds large amounts of water or solvent for lubrication and cooling. Foam center also provides for even surface pressure that helps eliminate finger marks when hand sanding.

These disks are available in 2″ and 3″ sizes 360, 500, 1000, 2000, 4000 Grits

Abranet Sanding Screen

Available in 80-1000 Grit

An aluminum oxide bonded to a polyamide fabric mesh. It is a grip disk that consists of a flat, reticular disc with thousands of holes. For the woodturner this means superior anti-clogging properties on bare wood, and awesome for dry sanding out a film finish; waterborne or solvent based! Abranet has a much longer lifetime and retains its original sanding performance much longer than traditional abrasives. This means that sanding can be carried out more quickly and more effectively. Extended product life requires less use of materials. This stuff rocks the planet! You can blow out the build up with air and hit the crepe pad to clean. You will wear the grit off before you can clog the stuff too much to use. I recommend and interface pad so you don’t wear out the hook and loop.
These disks are available in 2” and 3” packages of 10, and are stamped with the grit number on the back.
